I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
